We’re excited to announce that Jacqueline Gawler will be judging the following AUSACA events in 2019:
JACQUELINE GAWLER is a Melbourne-based jazz singer, percussionist, composer & educator, and Australia’s finest gringa intérprete of Brazilian song.
She is best know for her work as a composer/singer/percussionist with Australia’s multi-award winning vocal quintet Coco’s Lunch, who have released 7 albums to critical acclaim and toured internationally for over 20 years.
Jacqueline performs and is a special guest singer/percussionist with a multitude of high calibre Australian and international ensembles, including the Jacqueline Gawler Band, Coco’s Lunch, Stoneflower, Christopher Hale’s Sylvan Coda, Panorama Brasil, The Picture Box Orchestra (UK/Pakistan/Australia), Sam Keevers’ América Do Sul, Bossa Negra (Brazil/Singapore/Australia), Avatar, Red Fish Blue (Syd/Melb), the John Montesante Quintet & award-winning writer/musician/radio personality Casey Bennetto. She has also studied West African drumming for many years, and lived in Brazil where she recorded with Grammy award winning musicians in Rio De Janeiro.
Jacqueline teaches, assesses and auditions at several tertiary institutions in Melbourne and has a passion for vocal mechanics, improvisation, jazz and everything A Cappella!!
